A new split cassette tape from two SF Bay Area synthesizer luminaries — Bran(…)Pos & DJ Head Boggle. Each side is an idiosyncratic electronic endeavor that together forms the holistic symbiosis of Shrewd Wads / MPC Demo. Bran & Boggle compose an aural odyssey that covers a vast terrain of electronic sound — ranging from exercises in esoteric respiratory electroacoustics to luminescent library musics performed by a cast of interdimensional travelers and a plethora of possible sonic beyonds and betweens.

“Shrewd Wads” is a series of realtime mouth/synth noisettes. No overdubs/minimal edits. (…)pos locked himself in the studio for 3 days with the goal of recording 40 miniatures using a limited sonic palette and simple pencil sketches as guide. 17 of these made the cut. The rest were pure garbage.

bran(…)pos is the ongoing audio-visual-performance-noise-musique-brain-bend of Jake Rodriguez from the San Francisco Bay Area. Rodriguez has been performing and recording under this moniker since 1996 with releases on C.I.P., Resipiscent, Ratskin Records, Animal Disguise, Tymbal Tapes, Planetary Magnetics Corporation, and Chitah! Chitah! Soundcrack.

“MPC Demo” was recorded during COVID quarantine Summer 2020 using MPC and Prophet REV2 only.

DJ Head Boggle is the latest iteration of Head Boggle (SF-Based artist Derek Gedalecia). Since 2007 HB has released music on Ratskin Records, Spectrum Spools, Hanson Records, Midori Records, Greedmink, Cylindrical Habitat Modules, Magma Tones, Hausu Mountain, Experimedia, NNA Tapes, 905 Tapes, and more.
